HOUSEHOLD OF FIVE

Household of five

as you walk through

the stare is not HI!

its an oh! its you

comment and acknowledgement

of your presence is dismissed.

 

Household of five

the most vivid and different

personalities though malicious

when crossed,

to them, you are just

not enough.

 

Household of five

dinner is ready

yet one is working

one is drinking

one is thinking

one is not there at all

one just sits at the table and says damn.

 

Household of five

respect,honesty, loyalty

but most of all respect

amongst them

it is an insignificant word

and foreign action.

 

Household of five

divided by the differences

of each others’ thoughts

actions and words

all i ask for is for no more

but unfortunately

this is home sweet home.
