I have mixed feelings about this. I love her music (no past tense.) I have issues when family members want to release “previously unreleased” material for material gain.
Wow… I’m not sure how I feel about recieving this news. On the one hand, I’m a teenager who has grown up loving all of Selena’s music. I still love her and consider her as a rolemodel. I would love to hear some of her music from when she was my age and be able to compare it to the Selena that I’m used to listening to. However, it’s been 16 years since she’s passed on and it leaves me with the question: Why now? I understand leaving some time for people to mourn the loss of such a magnificent artist, but it feels somewhat hollow to know that only NOW will her family be releasing this “new” material. I do not mean to criticisize/offend her family or anyone else if my comment appears harsh, but this is just my opinion.
I have mixed emotions, but one of my emotions is excitement to be able to hear some more of Selena. Que viva Selena!
Her father has always been money hungry so this doesn’t surprise me in the least! When she was here she was trying to get away from his grip. It’s been 16 years and they need to let her rest in peace! Why wasn’t this material released shortly after her passing why now? It’s all about the mighty dollar that’s why. She was a great talent tragic loss.
