Manu Ginobili and James Harden double flop [video]

Ginobli and Harden

On Sunday, May 27, the Argentine-born Manu Ginobili led his San Antonio Spurs to victory over the Oklahoma City Thunder in Game 1 of the NBA Western Conference Finals. In addition to his 26 points, he and opponent James Harden also collaborated on this facepalm-worthy double flop.

There’s no doubt that Ginobili is an elite player and an important piece of this team. He did, after all, lead all Spurs scorers with 26 points. But are his contributions on the court negated by this awful and unsportsmanlike behavior? Sound off in the comments.

  1. It is a legal move–how can it be unsportsmanlike! H e has gotten better at it than most! Unless the rule for offensive fouls is changed we cannot scream foul play!

  2. Gato Rivera says:

Play the game the way it was meant to be played, and cut down on fouls; no more please!

  3. I dont see that he did anything wrong. It’s a contact sport. They made contact they both fell. This story is weak.

  4. Miguel Ramos says:

    who cares

  5. It’s funny how they chose Ginobili to bring this up with or about ! There’s numerous players that are DIRTY… Elbows .. Hard fouls .. BS that really uncalled for .. MANU I LOVE YOU !!!! Everyone else needs to stop crying lol

  6. why the focus on Manu? OKC had their share of offensive fouls during this game. His overall record is impecable. If anything, I believe he is one of the most respectable players out there. Manu (as well as the entire Spurs entity) have contributed to and founded several charitable organizations. Who better than to be leaders of San Antonio youth than the Spurs? They have basketball camps yearly for our youth and are well-respected. Manu? Unsportsmanlike? Hardly?!? Still confused why he was the focus of this topic. AND YES I AM A BORN AND RAISED SAN ANTONIO NATIVE….AND I STILL LIVE HERE GIVING BACK TO MY COMMUNITY! VIVA SPURS! :D

  7. no,everybody does it,if any of the elite players complains about no calls ,they get favorable calls the next game,or is called homecourt advantage ,the spurs hardly ever complain about no calls,

  8. Serg Laz says:

I didn’t see anything wrong with what Manu did.

  9. Wow, our Spurs are the Quiet Heroes, but yet….they do something some don’t like & they’re brought out on the “Lime Light”, get over it “Being Latino”, he & the other Spurs are Awesome, they get the Job done….you won’t see them do a “Metta World Peace”DIRTY!! Get a better story!

  11. Please…manu is fine. Look at how the refs call fouls on anyone that touches lebron, wade or kobe. Please the league favorites these guys yet noone calls the league out on it. THAT’S the real story! GO SPURS…and am a Celtics fan!
