BL’s Friday night cocktail- Clericot

Friday Night Cocktails

Though the days are still cold in many parts of the U.S. dreams of summer nights are not far from coming true. To some it’s white sangria, but this is a summer drink for balmy days in Argentina and elsewhere…

Clericot

Ingredients

1 Granny Smith apple, diced
1 peach, diced
1 kiwi, peeled and diced
1 pear, diced
1 tangerine, peeled and sliced in half moons
a large handful of strawberries, hulled and sliced
2 Tbsp. sugar
100mL club soda/seltzer water
50mL triple sec or Cointreau liqueur
750mL bottle of chilled white wine (preferably a Torrontés)
ice cubes

Directions

In a large pitcher, add the fruit and then sprinkle it with the sugar. Allow the fruit to macerate for at least 10 minute before adding the remaining ingredients. Serve in a highball glass with ice.
