You are what you drink

Recently while riding the subway in New York, I saw an ad that caught my attention! I must say that it delivers it’s purpose because I ended up throwing away the soda I happened to have in my hand. The New York City Department of Health have released several print ads and a commercial that are sure to make you stop and rethink what you’re drinking.

Recently while ridding the subway here in NY, I saw an AD that caught my attention! I must say that it delivers it’s purpose because I ended up throwing away the Soda I happened to have in my hand. This campaign is to combat a growing obesity problem and the idea seems to be sticking because N.Y. has received requests from other states to re-post in their states, making this a nationwide effort. I think it’s a genius campaign that will make people re-think what they drink and eat.

Weight gain and obesity are caused by consuming more calories than the body needs – most commonly by eating a diet high in fat and calories, living a sedentary lifestyle, or both.

Obesity currently results in an estimated 400,000 deaths a year in the United States and costs the national economy nearly $122.9 billion annually. Childhood obesity affects more than 15 percent of the population, so it’s important to keep the kids away from junk foods and guide them towards a much healthier diet!

This campaign can certainly bring nothing but positive things anyway you see it! Changing small habits can be life changing!
