Okay! So we realize that today is NOT April Fool’s Day, but in our defense, we rarely publish over the weekend and we really, really, really wanted to play a prank on you.
Seems like mission accomplished and we here at Being Latino headquarters (our respective laptops) are cyber high-fiving and fist-bumping each other for a job well done. Did I mention giggling? Yes, we’re also giggling a bit.
We certainly hope you took it all in the spirit it was intended and dare we hope…enjoyed it.
And not to get serious on you, but we hope that you have learned the lesson we learned today. People aren’t reading and they should be. A headline cannot tell you the whole story, another person’s comments cannot tell you the whole story, even one article cannot tell you the whole story. So let’s all read. Let’s all educate ourselves with a variety of sources so we as a community have the ability to always think critically and not fall for the words of any politician who doesn’t have our best interest at heart!
Let’s heed the words of the great, late President Abraham Lincoln:
Somehow they apply here, don’t you think?
For now, let’s enjoy a little Gloria!
¡WEPA!
