Job creation seems to be a topic on everyone’s tongue these days. While we all wait for the 99 percent to give back to this nation, an economist turned builder has embarked on an experiment of his own. Can you build a house, using only American made materials, and still be competitive?
Anders Lewendal developed a list of everything he needed to build a house and began the building process. While the house is not yet completed, Mr. Lewendal estimates that if contractors would increase their use of American materials by a mere 5 percent, there would be 220,000 jobs created.
That would definitely be a boost to our economy.
