Companies that support the Internet Censorship Law

The Stop Internet Piracy Act (SOPA), otherwise known as the Internet Censorship Law, would give the U.S. government the right to block you from accessing certain sites on the Internet. If this law passes, then the same website censorship method used in China, Iran, and Syria would become a part of our daily lives in the U.S.

What does this mean for your?

- certain sites you visit on a daily basis could be blocked
- Email providers may be forced to censor certain links you send or receive
- The links you share on social networks will be carefully monitored and possibly censored

What do some of the biggest companies in the world have to do with this bill? Well, they support this bill that would infringe on rights to freedom of speech because they stand to profit from the ability to control what you can access on the Internet.
