It’s National Pizza Week: Chicago, NYC, or your town?

During a trip to New York City last Spring, Being Latino founder, Lance Rios and I got into a little discussion about who has better pizza: NYC or my home town, Chicago.

It began as a disagreement on the train and turned ‘heated’ as he began to poll perfect strangers about their preference while we walked in Midtown. I argued that his polling was ridiculous seeing as asking New Yorkers if they preferred New York over Chicago pizza only provide biased data. It continued the next day as he polled his Facebook friends, and later as he offered to buy me a slice as a taste test (Now I’d had NY pizza before, but who was I to deny him the right to attempt to prove a point).

To this day, there is no clear winner. The NY slice is definitely great, but any Chicagoan will tell you that you haven’t had pizza until you’ve had a slice of Chicago deep dish or stuffed.

So as we celebrate National Pizza Week, we leave it up to you to bring resolution to this Lance vs. Libby NYC vs. Chicago issue once and for all. Is it NY or Chicago? OR is it your town? You tell us!
