Quick! everyone hide – Facebook is watching you

No, I’m not implying that Mark Zuckerberg is watching you as you read this (though it’s certainly possible), but your favorite social network, in addition to knowing all the personal details we so willingly give up, can now recognize you by your face.

Facebook is rolling out a new feature for tagging friends in your pictures, by making suggestions of who is in each new picture that you upload. When you add a new picture, you will automatically be prompted with suggestions of who is in your pictures along with you, just based on their facial expressions from their own pictures. The idea was supposed to make everything simple – Facebook would take care of all of the tagging for you – no sweat.

This would be fine, but let’s be honest – you don’t always want to be tagged in every picture that shows up here. Thankfully, there is a way to disable the tagging feature, and save any possible embarrassment in the process…
