So we’re not counting “Que Pasa, USA” (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/%C2%BFQu%C3%A9_Pasa,_USA%3F)?

  2. I don’t know about this one. I agree with Pedro too. This could be bad Villa Alegre. The plot looks dumb:

    Really? Come on!

  3. Hey, US mainstream world, we Latinos are hot, sexy, and sleek. When will Telemundo actually do REAL programming?

  4. Nick Baez says:

Or when will we see very dark-skinned Latinos in roles of prominence on these networks?

  5. TaDeo says:

Thank you for your comment Nick. I really hate how we Afro Latinos are ignored unless it is a mention of how “Dominicans hate Haitians”

  6. Nancy Sepulveda says:

And why oh why does the setting have to be Miami? (not hating on the city. I love me some Miami) But it’s such a cliche; it’s as if Miami (hot, steamy, spicy Miami) — and parts of NYC/LA — are the only geographic areas acknowledged to have Latino populations. Newsflash: we’re everywhere!!!

  7. Patricia Rodriguez says:

Hay por dios! Nothing in this world can make me interested in seeing “the Fast & the Furious” even if it is “latinized according to hollywood). I agree with Julito and NIck.

I suggest ya’ll check this web series out: instead…looks real enough :) http://www.facebook.com/EastWillyB (comedy about gentirifcation in Bushwick, Brooklyn.)

  9. Thank you Pedro! We cannot forget Que Pasa USA! If you haven’t seen it, check it out on YouTube, it’s really funny – the first bilingual sitcom on PBS!

  10. That would be good. Kind of revolutionary, no?

  11. What can I say I hope it goes well but really Telemundo Crime and Hispanics?

Can you leave that for mainstream Hollywood ? Why not talk about a Hispanic youth trying to make it big in a major field like Journalism, Marketing , Business e.g. Ugly Betty but a bit more different.

Sometimes as a Latino I feel stuck, it is a television show for our community so if I do not like it should I still have to support it ?

Well let me just watch the pilot and shut up

  12. Daniel Ruiz says:

Personally I stopped watching Telemundo and Univision years ago when I realized that their casting was handled by time travelers from the Third Reich. When they start casting Afro, Asian, and Indio Latinos for lead roles then I may return. Until then I won’t support racist nonsense.
